the ripple effect

This is in front of the Minnesota state capitol building in St. Paul; they began to form up when Rage Against the Machine made a surprise appearance at The Ripple Effect music festival in front of the capitol, a concert held in conjunction with protests against the RNC. Eventually, because the event had outlasted its permit which expired at 7pm, the police cut the power, prompting the band to storm the stage and perform an impromptu a capella set. Then they set off on a unpermitted march down to the Xcel building, thousands of fans in tow.
