Near Ganghwado, July 2009.
Back in July, I went with Jiksu and his friend Maji on a weekend trip to Ganghwado, an island just west of Incheon, where the Han River meets the Yellow Sea. We visited the modest remains of what used to be a fortress (due to its strategic position at the mouth of the Han), stayed at a motel-like condo near the mud flats, watched the tide come in, grilled samgyeopsal, drank some soju, and generally had a relaxing time. This was on the ferry ride over.
