sky over tanglewood

Lying on the lawn outside the Shed, watching stars and satellites pass overhead, listening to John Williams conduct the Boston Pops—there's something wonderful about Tanglewood. 24 Aug 2013. This image is a bit noisy, but it's from a single 8 second exposure at ISO 3200 from my little Canon EOS-M. I was pretty impressed with the amount of detail it managed to capture in the Milky Way's dust lanes. With the barrel distortion and the wide field of view, Photoshop wasn't able to stack images terribly well.
